According to my Medium profile, I’ve been a member since May 2020, and in that time I’ve published 98 stories.

For #99, I decided to do some reflection on the experience to date. This was prompted by a post from one of my favorite Medium creators, Annie Trevaskis.

Annie recently sent “a huffy message” to Medium writers, bluntly advising us on improving practices for pinned posts and lists.

You’re Not Going to Like This

First of all, she spent a generous amount of time explaining how to collect stories into lists. Turns out, Lists can be for Other Readers, not for me?! (I had assumed that Lists were a place to bookmark and collect stories by others that I’d enjoyed and might want to read or reference again. Typically self-absorbed writer, eh?)
