One of my Medium Heroes, Roz Warren, Writing Coach, recently wrote about her frustration at being plagiarized on this platform.

As we all know, writing (well) is hard work, and I feel her pain.

So full disclosure: this post is inspired by her article and the writing prompt to which it responds.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve eaten?

Deep fried flying ants. On a long ago trip to Malawi, when it would have been rude to refuse this kind offer of protein from hosts who had little else to offer. They were crunchy. Nutty, not too much flavor really. I just had to swallow quickly and not think too hard about it. Insect protein is likely the future of human survival but to be frank, I hope I don’t live to see it.

What’s the silliest way you’ve ever gotten an injury?
